Classic Neandertal

In reference to the Middle Pleistocene European populations of Homo neanderthalensis that show the most extreme neandertaloid features such as heavy brow ridges, elongated skull, occipital bun and, historically, bowed femurs. It was later recognized that malformations of the postcrania were due to degenerative disease.
