Sheath formed from keratinized epidermal cells located at the tips of the distal phalanges; claws are usually sharp, curved and pointed. Claws are found on some of the digits of prosimians; claws secondarily derived from nails (tegulae) are found on digits 2-5 among the Callitrichidae. Aka falcula.
