Courtship

Patterns of behavior that signal intention or initiate mating; not all such behavior results in copulation. Courtship functions to bring the sexes together in those species that are noyau, relaxes the inclination to attack or flee, synchronizes both partners for mating, and prevents interspecific breeding. Aka courtship ritual.
