Cryogenic Soil Modification

Seasonal processes that modify soil in very cold climates (and potentially displace artifacts in archaeological sites); examples include cryopedogenesis, cryoturbation (alternation of freezing and thawing), frost cracking, solifluction, thermal cracking, and patterned ground formation.
