Dental Arcade

Term most used in human evolutionary biology for the alveolar arch; horseshoe- or U-shaped (parabolic) arch formed by the alveolar process of the maxillary bones and the alveolar border of the mandible. The dental arcades of other primates are often formed by convergent rows of teeth forming a V or parallel rows forming a hard U. Aka dental arch.
