Dental Genetics

Study of the development and growth of both the deciduous dentition and the adult dentition, as well as the comparison of humans with the nonhuman primates for many homologous variables. Dental genetics includes, but is not limited to, the chronology of tooth growth, dental eruption sequences, variation in tooth size and placement, and the heritability of both normal and exceptional dental structures.
