Ectocranial Buttressing Feature

Suite of characteristics found in Homo erectus and some archaic H. sapiens that refer to areas of bony build-up such as ridges, crests, and bars of bone that provide support and sites of muscle attachment for the cranium; e.g. occipital torus, nuchal crest, etc.
