Estrogen

Generic term for any estrus-inducing steroid compounds, usually hormones secreted from the ovarian follicle or the placenta. Estrogens have multiple effects on the reproductive tract, breasts, body fat deposition, and bone growth. Examples of estrogens include estradiol, estriol, and estrone. Aka estrogenic hormone, female gonadal hormone.
