Ethnocentrism

Tendency to view other cultures from within one’s own cultural perspective; this often leads to thinking of other cultures as odd and inferior. In an extreme form, the assertion that one’s own culture (we) is inherently superior to other cultures (they), which are often viewed with contempt. Adjective: ethnocentric.
