Faunivory

Dietary category proposed by Chivers and Hladik to apply to mammals (faunivores) that consume animal matter. Adjective: faunivorous. This term was coined because many prosimians are not exclusively insectivorous or carnivorous, but consume both invertebrates (not all of which are insects) and tetrapod vertebrates.
