Fibroblast

One of several kinds of undifferentiated connective tissue cells with cytoplasmic extensions that may differentiate into bone, adipose, or other types of tissue. Fibroblasts secrete collagenous or elastic fibrous proteins such as collagen, and are active in tissue generation and wound repair.
