Fluorine Dating

Site-specific relative dating technique that compares the los of nitrogen to the gain of fluorine (and sometimes uranium) of organic materials such as wood and bone. The more fluorine absorbed and nitrogen lost, the older the sample is expected to be, although no absolute dates can be assigned with the technique. Aka fluorine-uranium-nitrogen dating (F-U-N).
