Genetic Translation

Second step in protein synthesis, following genetic transcription, in the process of the synthesis of polypeptide chains; consists of the orderly bonding into a chain of appropriate amino acids, catalyzed by enzymes and tRNA, from genetic information carried in mRNA; occurs in the cytoplasm at the ribosomes.
