Gummivory

Dietary category applied to animals (gummivores) that consume predominantly plant exudates (gums) during the year or during a particular season. Alternative spellings in the literature include gumivory, gumnivory, and guminivory. Primates that are gummivores, at least part of the year, include bushbabies (Galago, Galagoides, Otolemur) and marmosets (Callithrix).
