Heterogenous Nuclear RNA

1. a specific nuclear RNA molecule edited such that a specific portion leaves the nucleus to function in translation in the cytoplasm. Aka pre-RNA.

2. hnRNA can also refer to the pool of nuclear RNAs (nRNAs), dRNA, and discarded intron transcripts.
