In the broadest sense, according to E. O. Wilson, the full set of innate behavioral predispositions that characterize the human species; and in the narrower sense, according to Wilson, those pre-dispositions that affect social behavior. Any philosophy that holds that there is a natural character, just as plants and animals have natural forms.
