Igneous Rock

Molten material that flows up as magma from the deeper part of the earth’s crust (asthenosphere); one of the main groups of rock that make up the earth’s crust (lithosphere). Some igneous rocks that have cooled quickly are suitable for tools, and include lavas, ignimbrites and obsidian.
