Inductively Coupled Plasma-mass Emission Spectrometry

Method of quantitative and chemical isotopic analysis that combines atomic emission spectrometry with mass spectrometry. In this technique, a digested sample in solution is introduced to an argon plasma, and the mass spectrum of a sample is measured (instead of the atomic emission in similar techniques) and compared with standard solutions of known concentrations. Isotope ratios can be determined.
