Insectivory

Dietary category applied to animals (insectivores) that consume predominantly insects (although other invertebrates such as mollusks are often included in the diet) during the year or during a particular season. Adjective: insectivorous. Many prosimians are insectivores, and insects constitute a significant portion of the diet of many callitrichids.
