Intergroup Transfer

Migration from one social unit to another. This is common in anthropoid groups. Among many non-one-male-unit cercopithecines the females tend to be the resident sex and males migrate to other groups as they reach puberty; among the African apes, the males tend to be the resident sex and the females migrate.
