Male Pattern Baldness

Autosomal dominant genetic condition characterized by the gradual los of hair from the top of the scalp, a condition augmented by the presence of testosterone. Females very rarely have this condition and the allele is dominant in males but recessive in females. Human populations vary with respect to the proportions of individuals who exhibit this trait.
