Small, carefully manufactured stone blade chipped from prepared wedge-shaped, conical cores and designed to be mounted in antler, bone, or wooden hafts; served as spear barbs, arrow points, and as small knives and scraper blades; first appear in China about 30 kya, and were eventually used almost worldwide.
