Motor Cortex

Region of the frontal lobe of the cerebral cortex from which motor impulses to muscles and glands originate. In humans, the movements of the mouth, larynx and tongue required for language production all originate in this area of the brain. Aka motor area, motor control area, motor region, motor strip.
