Mottled-faced Tamarin Section

Division of the genus Saguinus based on face fur, or lack of face fur, and other pelage patterns; not a subgeneric distinction. The mottled-faced tamarin group consists of only one species, S. inustus. The distinctive feature of this species is a thickly furred crown, but naked cheeks and sides of the face.

See Saguinus.
