Neuroendocrine Theory Of Aging

Intercellular, systemic model of aging in which the major premise is that the failure of certain cells with normal integrative functions increases with the age of an organism, resulting in the decreased homeostatic efficiency of an organism, leading to senescence and death. This mechanism seems plausible in the case of female reproductive aging, but is less clear in others.
