Optic Chiasma

X-shaped structure on the inferior aspect of the brain, the point at which the nerves transmitting visual stimuli from the retina of the eye cross over to enter the contralateral side of the brain; in humans and some other species, the crossover is not complete. Some forms of albinism dramatically disrupt this pathway. Aka optic chiasm.
