Palmaris Muscle

Muscle that acts on the hand. The palmaris longus originates from the medial epicondyle of the humerus and inserts into the fascia of the palm. Its action is to flex the hand at the wrist and is useful during hanging and climbing. This muscle is missing in 11% of modern AMHs.
