Pentagonal Contour Of The Cranium

Diagnostic feature of Asian varieties of Homo erectus in which the cranial plates are relatively thick and flat so that a skull, when viewed from the rear, appears to have two converging walls rising above a floor, and two roof portions which meet in a peak or keel, not unlike the five-faced shape of a canvas tent. Aka pentagonid.
