Philtrum

1. vertical cleft in the rhinarium of prosimians.

2. shallow vertical groove located mid-sagittally and inferior to the apex (tip) of the nose and superior to the upper lip in humans. Note that this is not considered to be homologous with the prosimian philtrum.
