Pluvial Hypothesis

Proposition advanced by geologist E. J. Wayland in the 1920s to explain lake level fluctuations in East Africa; according to this view, water levels were tied to the European glaciation cycles; largely discredited by the 1950s. Aka the pluvial/interpluvial hypothesis.
