Power Grip

Grasping of objects between the palm and one or more of the digits with the thumb acting as a buttress, as when grasping a pole-like object. In chimpanzees the thumb is aligned with the other digits. In humans there are three variations of the power grip: squeeze grip, disc grip, and spherical grip.
