Reinforcement Schedule

Distribution of rewards to an animal in a learning experiment. On a continuous schedule the animal is rewarded each time it makes a correct response; on a fixed-interval schedule the animal is rewarded after a set period of time after each correct response; on a variable-interval schedule the animal is rewarded at random periods; on a fixedratio schedule the animal is rewarded after it has made a fixed number of correct responses; on a variable-ratio schedule the animal is rewarded after it has made a random number of correct responses.
