Sacrum

Triangular structure composed of five vertebrae that fuse in the adult human; the sacrum is bounded by the lumbar vertebrae superiorly, the coccyx inferiorly, and the two coxal bones laterally. The sacrum is part of the vertebral column and part of the pelvis.
