Sequence Analysis

1. see DNA sequencing.

2. analysis of the order in which behavior patterns occur. If behavior always occurs in the same sequence it is referred to as a deterministic sequence; if the behavior is variable, yet consistent enough to be predictable, it is called a stochastic or probabilistic sequence; if the behavior has no set order it is referred to as a random sequence and the probability that a given behavior will follow any other behavior is the transition probability.

See form analysis, situation analysis.
