Sexual Skin

Skin in the anal and genital regions of females in some cercopithecine species when they are ovulating. Sexual skin often turns red when it swells, advertising the female’s estrus condition to males in the area. In some cases, such as in Theropithecus, the sexual skin is on the chest of the female. Aka sexual swelling.
