In statistics, an outcome or measure of the robusticity of a test; the degree of importance of an outcome. Significance approaches zero asymptotically, i.e. large values (0.10) are insignificant, values less than the alpha level (usually, 0.05 or 0.01) are significant, and values much less than the alpha level become increasingly significant.
