Stria

1. anatomical term meaning furrow, line, or streak; especially, parallel strips or bands. Adjective: striate; plural: striae; aka striation.

2. small groove or channel in obsidian or other stone that radiates outward from the bulb of percussion from which striae converge, and which can be used to determine the percussion point on many stone artifacts.
