Two-hominid Theory

Idea proposed by Mary Leakey that habilines, who made Developed Oldowan tools (according to Leakey), and erectines, who made Acheulean tools, lived contemporaneously at Olduvai Gorge between 1.5 and 1.2 mya, based on excavations of both tool traditions in the same strata a few hundred meters apart.
