Waist Circumference

Anthropometric measurement: distance around the waist as measured with a tape measure placed at the narrowest part of the torso passed horizontally around the body. The measurement is taken after a normal expiration. Used for various body indices pertaining to adipose distribution and for various applications in human engineering.
